WINES WITH IDENTITY

It is in our cellar that we produce the wine that we market under the Unamontes brand. Built in the 1960s, it has a capacity for processing grapes that has proven effective and sufficient for the quantities of grapes delivered by the cooperators, although the amounts delivered in recent years have increased successively. To address this increase and provide an effective response to the deliveries from the cooperators, a new destemmer-crusher with a capacity of 23 tons/hour was acquired in 2015, which, along with the existing crusher-destemmer, allows for a grape processing capacity of about 40 tons/hour. With a capacity to store 800,000 liters of wine, the Agricultural Cooperative of Macedo de Cavaleiros, CRL currently produces red table wine with an alcohol content that varies between 12% and 14%. The packaging is done in Bag-in-box and in carafes, and the Agricultural Cooperative of Macedo de Cavaleiros, CRL is studying the introduction of a bottling line that will allow it to package bottles and enable it to enter an increasingly attractive sector for Portuguese wines.
